type='text'>26th/27th Dec 06 Training

Nothing better than the feeling of progression, well i really felt it these last 2 days.
First of all yesterday i landed the big Arm Jump at the Train Station which is a good 8 foot at least, and i nice new Cat Pass-Precision which was fun.

And today was my official balancing day, i feel my balance is improving tenfold, i spent a lot of the day balancing on rails and precisioning, also Pistolling on rails to improve my leg strength, i can do them on my right leg, not fully on my left leg need to work on that.

Also was improving my diving cat pass precision, i can do them on a table about 6 foot long, and they were nice and clean so i was quite pleased.

Overall a fairly good day for training, had fun :D
<img width='1' height='1' money, with our "SKILLZ TO PAY DA BILLZ!"

Then moved on to city hall and trained there for a bit, i finally nailed those spinny switch hand things.

Then we went down to Magistrates court and i worked on my precisions loads, i can stick them pretty well now.

Here's one i did, not the best example of stickage though.<br and Cameron at the train station, and headed off into Lincoln, Shaun left us early though because he went to a Roller blading competition.

At the station we met, Neil, Jake, Keiran, Ryan, Stu, Jak, Jamie (and his girlfriend) Joe and Joey. Then we took a trip down to the wall where we met, Kristen and his team who were filming a Documentary about Parkour.

We took them round the usual spots and got some filming down. Mainly stuck around City Hall, Odeon and the College, and were kicked an awful lot as expected with such a large group.

I nailed a nice big Dyno today the gap between the pulling point and grabbing point was about 4 foot, so i was pleased.

Achievements for the day:

A new Dyno nailed

A larger arm jump at the Rocks

Overall pretty pleased and a good day =]

powered by performancing firefox

25/11/06 Rain Training + Casino Royale

Well today was very fun, despite the very wet weather, we still managed to have a good training session. We met new guys Craig and Patrick for the first time today, both seemed really nice guys and we're determined to do their best in learning, and seemed to be picking it up quite quickly, despite the non-ideal conditions to learn in, Me and Shaun were more used to the rain than everyone else, and seemed to be the only ones not complaining about it hehe.

Well todays progress was mainly spent in the underground area of city hall, and partially in Lucy Towers, so we all knuckled down, and worked on silent landings and distance. Also spent a fair bit of time, working on linking stuff together for fluidity and efficiency, just to work on reaction speed and flow.

Switch Hands through the next rail

Switch hands to 360

Lucy Towers training mainly consisted of Quadrupedal training, and warming up, we were kicked pretty quick down to a certain few people walking infront of security cameras. But it was fun while it lasted.

I landed a pretty big arm jump, at least 7 foot, i was tempted to go for the 8 foot level one about a metre away, but i wimped out, Stu Palmer on the other hand nailed it, but thats Stu for you :P

Very slippy, 7 foot Arm Jump, only just managed to stay on, the conditions affected my climb up too

Then we split up into two groups, Me, Stu, Shaun, Wizey, Tumo, and Jack, headed off towards the old end of lincoln near the castle and all around there, found some cool new spots, and got upto some mischeif with a sleeping hobo lmao.

Heheh lmao

THEN!

Me, Tumo and Shaun went to see Casino Royale, well well, the Parkour is awesome, the highlight for me was Seb doing a 10 foot Cat Pass over a big work bench, the actual film was pretty good too, the torture scene was a bit *ouch* the kinda thing only males will know, but when you see someone get hit in the balls, and you kinda feel it your self...well that.

All im saying is, Whip + Balls

All in all a pretty good day, ended in a good old sweet fight with some girls, so not too bad.

powered by performancing firefox

23/11/06 Training + Trampoline

Short one this time:

Nailed an 8 1/2 Foot, Arm Jump, pretty fun.

Just regular training, Practised Climb ups, and trained a bit in Aldi doing precisions, and Arm Jumps.

Pretty fun.

Went to Tom Taylor house and practised my back tuck on the trampoline, they are so close to proper ones now.

Also jumped off his trampoline hehe. type='text'>Lincoln Training: My Birthday Jam

Well, today was awesome, had a real nice training session.

Stu and Shaun nailed this huge downwards cat pass, 5 feet across, 7 feet down, i could do it i just bottled out, Heres the footage:

Then we went to the Stairset and the wall, and just drilled arm jumps, and Cat2Pre's at the Spar.

Then to City Hall, where we had two bails, Shaun bailed the huge drop precision and wizey clipped his knee vaulting a rail.

Heres a bit of footage we got, i'm the guy in the middle i messed up my get up though, thats what the giggle is about

I'm still trying to get 360 arm Jumps, but i got the arm jump to arm jump at city hall, so i was pleased with myself.

Then we met dale at the college and went to the estate, and Stu nearly nailed the 12 ft level Arm Jump.

Then we went to the Church, and met some guys from Doncaster who do Parkour and tricking, we headed back to City Hall and just trained some more.

Acheivements for the day:

5 1/2 ft Cat to Precision

Half Turn to Arm Jump at City Hall

Flick ups are perfect now

Oh got a cool new bag from Stu and Ryan for my B/day, i can run and train with it on now, works like a weighted vest which is cool too.

Off topic: OMFG 15 TOMMOROW!!!

16/11/06 Training

Hey hey, went out with Shaun for 2 and half hours today, in the damp. Im starting to enjoy this Rain Training, its making me train twice as had, and Shauns recent enthusiasm for training is a big bonus. We are both willing to go out everynight, rain or shine.

Anyway, todays progress report:

Dashes!! I've never had them perfect and today i felt they were awesome, got them over a waist height wall which is good for me. Attempted that Dash to Arm Jump at Woolworths but i kept bottling out.

Me and shaun have found a new level Arm Jump, Its 9 feet across, and is totally in our reach, we just need the confidence, definately a try-when-its-not-wet-and-when-its-light thing.

Found a new spot today, LOADS, of scaffolding, Lachès Galore!!

A definate new training spot, great for strength and confidence training etc.

Been working on my silents today, mainly because we wanted to creep around a bit, i'm getting much better, i still have my occaisonal clumbsy slip up though :D

Oh and tip, Never, Ever try and climb the wall outside the Gardening Shop, Its covered in nails and barbed wire, Shaun nearly lost his fingers, God...It's as if they dont wan't us to climb up there! muscle ups good now, my silent landings could do with some work mind you.

I've got my flick ups now too, i can't go up in to Cat Pass position but i can go to the side and get on the wall.

Also nearly got that 360 arm jump (Not Parkour but a personal challenge, Overall pretty If i learn something new, i will practice it, and practice it, until i have it perfect. I need to progress mthis so that i do it with everything i do, be it a difficult Cat Leap (S2B) or a simple vault, i should practice them all so that if i am in the situation where i really need to use the techniques, then i will have no doubts that i will land the technique.

I think if i continue with what i have started recently, then my technique and skill can only improve!

Lincs Parkour

Yay Lincs Parkour is up!

Follow the picture for the link!

No PK10, but....

Well for the reason below, the incident of which i have learnt an extreme lesson, i am not going to Pk10, but...... Our friendship started way back in year 5, in the simplistic form, of qouting the film Shrek and laughing our heads off. OK so not exactly best friend sort of friendship, but a start. That was the extent of our friendship, i didn't talk to him at break and lunch, or see him after school. This is something i really wish i had continued because we havent been real friends for a great long time, and it is soon to be cut short, so i do wish i could go back to that, and take our simplistic friendship a step further.
Year 5 passed, and me and jack weren't in the same class, this didn't bother me or him, at the time we were just the person that sat next to us, who occaisonally had a laugh with us, besides we were both to busy with our own best friends to bother about each other. So year 6 passed, and i rarely saw jack, a few times in the playground, but not much more really, like i said, we were to busy with our own best friends to bother with each other.
Secondry School: This hit me hard and fast, i felt depressed in my first year at school, i had a laugh, but i felt empty, if my life was history, then this period would be the dark ages. I wasn't suicidal or crying myself to sleep at nights, i just felt bad inside, and the memories of this year are the worst memories i have, not sure why, thats just the impression left on me.
Me and jack began talking again in this year, during the holidays i had made friends with 2 other boys: Cameron and Shaun. They were both good friends with Jack. Every morning, me, cam , shaun, jack and a few others would walk to school together, and hang out in the playground and on the field etc. In this year i didn't get on very well with jack, for some reason there was a tension between us, and many harsh comments we thrown between the two of us. I must admit at this time, I hated Jack, and he hated me.
Yet again another year passed, and it was the beginning of year 8. Mine and jacks quarrels had been put aside and we were on civil terms, not best friends, but the simplistic friends i said about at the start of the entry. I was feeling alot better in myself as well, i was beginning to enjoy school. I went though two terms of school in this mindset, until the christmas holidays.
During the ending days of the christmas holidays, i watched a Program called "Jump Britain" it was about Parkour (but you probably know all about don't you) When i went back to school, i told all my friends about this new thing, and was really excited to try it out. I was walking in the playground to our usual meeting point, and was telling Cameron about Parkour, when we got to the meetup point, and jack (who was there) pipes up "Oh Parkour, thats well good that!"
This is where our friendship began, we both started doing Parkour, and opening up to each other, we became really good friends, The sort of friends we are now. And now he's leaving to go to a special stage school, and i will really miss him. I really wish, i had started being friends with him at year 5, that way we could be really good friend now, and i could have got to have known him better. So now that us hanging out, is coming to an end, i wish him all the best of luck in London, after all he deserves it. I just hope he knows how much he will be missed.

DUO!!

Thats right!
